Artist's Statement
- June Oros
- I have always been passionate about art and respected the work of other artists. My work is always evolving, whether it is a drawing, painting, creating a collage or experimenting with mixed media. I love to switch from one media or technique to another as a means of broadening my repertoire and range of skills for the excitement of where it takes me. When working as a portrait artist years ago I was hired as a courtroom artist for an NBC affiliate in Tampa, Florida, what a fascinating position! I have been a commissioned cover artist for TOR Publication, New York, New York as well as magazines and newspapers. Awards include Best of Show in the professional division at the Strawberry Festival, The Marge Long Award, The Paul Dufmueller Award among others. I received a B.A. from the University of South Florida. Workshops and classes are on going. The more knowledge I attain, the easier it is to express myself.
