Woman Cello Player, Oil Painting, Musician

As you can see this latest painting is of the same cello player, I'm really having fun with the different poses and styles. I have so many more musicians I feel I need to paint, I'd love to paint when there's a live band. Any suggestions?

I painted this with watercolors and acrylics and used watercolor crayons to loosely draw in the outlines, lots of fun playing like this!

I painted this cello player from various angles and if you see how this one is done compared to the first one (scroll down to see the other) you'll be able to see the difference. It was not a conscious effort to have this one a little more loose, it was truely just the way it happened. Any comments on which style appeals to you more?

This Jazz Study No. 3 was a model that sat for a group of painters. Although there wasn't a smokey background I felt it was appropiate for the pose. Thanks Joe for sending the picture to me!

This cello player was a model for our art group, she was an excellent subject as well as a terrific cello player. I started painting a much larger one and hope to have it ready to put in the show. Cello Player 9 x 12

This pictures was taken when I was almost finished with a commission of a bassett hound. What character he has, I felt that he was looking out the window and waiting for the one he loves to come home. Oils 16 x 20
